March 27, 2012 - PRLog -- The Symposium will commence with a movie screening so those new to African films can see what they have been missing. Also will be appearing International star Van Vickeralso known as Ghana's Hottest Export! But what is Nollywood you may ask? For starters it is The Nigerian Hollywood, and also the 3rd largest film industry in the world. A March 2006 article in The Guardian cited Nigeria's film industry as the third largest in terms of earnings and estimated the industry to bring in US$200 million.  It is currently the  second-biggest film industry in the world after India’s Bollywood in terms of output Nollywood is the second-largest employer in Nigeria and growing steadily each year. Especially with the help of Billions of dollars in foreign investment by Countries like China and Brazil and with the onset of the Lagos free trade area looming ahead there is soon to be an even larger market for films from sub-saharan African countries and one of the organizations helping to make this happen is a non-profit FTO called Sunkwa International Incorporated. Started by Nana Ama Bonsu which utilizes its funds to help small businesses and those with growth potential access what they need to succeed. Nana has a network in Ghana connected to the rising film industry there as well. http://www.wix.com/mictheory/sunkwabusiness
