Follow on Google News | Blair Mill Elementary School Hosts a Collection Drive to Benefit Families and Children in CrisisDonating gently used items feeds families…shelters the homeless…educates the youth… and helps families and children in crisis…ask Blair Mill how!
By: Impact Thrift Stores The donated items that the students collect, such as: gently-used clothing, books, furniture and household items, will be sold at Impact Thrift Stores and the money generated will financially support 16 local charities, whose missions...feed the hungry...shelter the homeless...assist the bind...find a child a forever home, and ultimiately support families and children in crisis. Over the course of the past month the student leaders have been participating in a student leadership program created by Impact Thrift Stores, called "Impact LIVE". Impact LIVE has provided Blair Mill Elementary the tools and occasion to organize and implement an important community service experience at their school. The Impact LIVE program is intended to not only add value to the student’s curriculum and educational experience, but it also is designed to practically serve as a way for Impact Thrift to obtain quality donations to further its own service to the community. The Impact Thrift Stores truck will be parked in front of the school, so if you're in the area between 10am and 1pm on Friday March 30th, drop off your gently-used items at Blair Mill Elementary and help others in need. For more information about how your school can get involved with the Impact LIVE Program, call Tamika Miller, Commmunity Outreach Coordinator 215.699.4146 ext 101 End
