Fashion Stylist Event Brings Reality to Tampa

Inauguration of Annual “Eye on Fashion” Competition to Showcase Talents

Tampa, FL – March 28, 2012 – The Fashion Movement announced the launching of the “Eye on Fashion” Stylist Competition which will be held on Friday, March 30 at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts located at 400 N Ashley Drive, Tampa, Florida.  This will be the largest event thus far at the museum’s new location.

The “Eye on Fashion” competition will feature the works of fashion stylists Amandia Reese-Craig, Desire Figueroa, Maurico Mussolini Moore, Tamy Montanez-Lugo and Toya Lane. The unique event gives the participants an opportunity to showcase their talents and skills to prove who really has an "Eye on Fashion".  With the world flocking to their televisions to catch the likes of Rachel Zoe, Brad Goreski, June Ambrose and others, this event gives residents a chance to be up close and personal with fashion stylists; to participate in a 'real'ity show.

“Fashion stylists are often forgotten in the industry.  Yet they bring cohesiveness to photo shoots many designers miss. This event gives them a chance to showcase their talents,” said Lacey B. Smith, Chief Executive Producer/Founder of The Fashion Movement.

Each stylist will present four distinct looks. Three of the looks will be chosen by the participants, while the last will be selected by The Fashion Movement personnel. The first place winner will receive a $500.00 cash prize. Another special cash prize will also be awarded.

“It’s exciting to see each of the stylists from near and far display their eye for fashion. This is the inauguration of which will be an annual event,” Smith added.

The exciting event, which runs from 7pm to 12pm, will be highlighted with live musical performances, photo displays and designer collection previews. Exhibit booths will also feature fashion boutiques, hair and make-up showcases and complimentary beer and wine samplings.

The “Eye on Fashion” Stylist Competition is sponsored by The Fashion Movement, LYF Brands, Above Promotions Company, Lords Jester Luxurious Perfumes and Vocess Magazine.
