PRLog - March 27, 2012 - WEST MIDLANDS, U.K. -- House to Home approached us recently to help furbish their new call centre in Alridge. They wanted to try and fit as many employees in the office space available, without compromising in comfort. They also wanted a modern look, without breaking the bank. Rapid Office Furniture we're able to cater for their needs very easily.
First of all, we started by asking for a basic room plan. After this we prepared a 2D floor plan and presented this to House and Home. After a few tweaks they were happy with the plans and we moved on to producing the 3D drawings. Once these were sent to House and Home, they approved them and we submitted the order.
White desks were chosen by House to Home as the clean crisp look is quickly becoming the most popular choice in new office installations and doesn't cost the earth.
As the employees were going to be close to each other and speaking on their phones, Rapid Office Furniture had to suggest a way to reduce background noise. To solution to this was to install acoustic partitions between the desks. The screens were manufactured in a silver/grey fabric to compliment the modern look of the white desks.
Another issue Rapid Office Furniture had was that the desks weren't very wide and quite narrow. This wouldn't have been an issue, although the desks had to fit a bulky telephone, computer monitor, keyboard and mouse. The solution to this problem was to install a monitor arm between two desks, which would then support two monitors; one for both desks. This not only saved precious desk space, but resulted in a very contemporary look.
House to Home also wanted low cost operator chairs, which were comfortable but most importantly offered good back support to employees. With Rapid's vast range of office chairs this wasn't a problem, and because House to Home were purchasing all their office furniture with Rapid they received a very generous discount on each office chair.
Rapid Office Furniture installed the call centre package shortly after the order was submitted. Installation only took 1 morning. After we left they sent us some pictures of the call centre complete with furniture, computers and telephones.
