FSG Takes Staff Training To New Level

March 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Facilities Services Group (FSG) is rolling out an innovative training programme to promote health and safety.

The FM company, which carries out reactive and planned maintenance works across the UK, is producing 32 short videos for its 140-plus directly employed operatives, each focusing on individual health and safety topics.

Designed to provide an engaging method of training delivery, the content for each video is based around FSG’s ‘Tool Box’ Talks and covers day-to-day subjects such as safer driving techniques and asbestos awareness.

The films are being made available for staff to view through a secure area of the FSG website.

Nick Greef, Health and safety Manager at FSG, said: “FSG’s belief is that all accidents, incidents and ill-health can be significantly reduced by providing sufficient information, instruction, supervision and support.

“A continuous and well-informed training policy is at the core of FSG’s business activity and the development of this online programme is a reflection of our commitment to best practice in the industry.

“Producing all our tool box talks into a video format is a major undertaking, but we believe the process will help get the health and safety message across in a consistent and appealing way, and further enhance quality and productivity across the business.

“Each film is around 10 minutes in length and gives a comprehensive overview of individual subject areas, in a format that is easy to understand and enables key messages to be understood.

“Our operatives will be able to access a bank of subjects quickly online, and the videos will provide a useful reference for them to call upon in their work, and continually refer back to as required.”
