Herbalife conferred with "Industry Recognition Award" at Nutra India Summit 2012

March 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Bangalore, March 27, 2012: The "Industry Recognition Award" was conferred to Herbalife "for its outstanding contribution to industry growth in the sector of Nutraceuticals & Nutritionals" at the Nutra India Summit 2012, concluded recently in Bangalore. The Nutra India Summit is India’s biggest event for the neutraceutical industry in the country. The Nutra India Summit in its 7th Edition is organized by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) along with MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications and supported by leading industry associations like Pharmexcil, HADSA, ABLE, ADMA and IDA.

Herbalife India was selected by distinguished members of the jury comprised of Dr. V Prakash: Chairman, Nutra India Summit 2012, Distinguished Scientist of CSIR-INDIA; President – Nutrition Society of India; Dr Mashelkar: National Research Professor and President, Global Research Alliance; S V Ranganath: Chief Secretary for the State and Jagdish Patankar, MD of MM Activ, the organisers of the 7th Nutra India Summit.

The award was presented by S V Ranganath, Chief Secretary for the State along with Dr. V. Prakash, Distinguished Scientist of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and President - Nutrition Society of India to Ajay Khanna, country head, Herbalife India. More than six hundred delegates from twenty-two countries were present at the event. The event was attended by seventy acclaimed speakers and seventy large companies participated in the exhibition.

Herbalife India also received the Exhibitor Award for the category "Interactive and Best Managed Stall". At the Herbalife stall, Herbalife distributors interacted with the customers, delegates and other visitors on all the available products. The company also offered samples of Outer Nutrition products to the visitors.
