Reaching Our Goal Launches The “High School Football Million Dollar Challenge”

March 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Reaching Our Goal, the recently debuted web-based fundraising program for school groups, has launched the 2012 High School Football Million Dollar Challenge.  

Along with 12 sponsors from the football industry, the Challenge is designed to help high school teams each raise $5,000 or more in the next 60 days.  Sponsors will also be providing discounts on their products and services to the participating teams.

“Since the 2008 recession, budget cuts have devastated high school football teams,” said Jon Goldman, co-founder and managing partner of Reaching Our Goal parent company, My Sports Dreams.  

“We’re concerned about teams being forced to play with unsafe and out-dated equipment, especially helmets that don’t provide maximum protection against concussions.  A million or more dollars spread across hundreds of teams can really make an impact.”

The Million Dollar Challenge provides hundreds of teams with the ability to quickly raise thousands of dollars without selling products or spending time running events, washing cars, or working concession stands.  The entire fund raising process is accomplished online in minutes using Reaching our Goal's new web platform.  Plus coaches, athletes and supporters will receive great rewards for their participation.  

In addition to the profits earned by teams in the Challenge, individual players on participating teams can earn incentive awards ranging from custom apparel to gift cards and personal electronics.  Supporters of participating teams receives $50 in savings they can redeem at restaurants and hotels around the country.  And, the top 10 teams in the Challenge will each receive Grand Prizes from supporting partners.
