March 26, 2012 - PRLog -- Baskets-n-Beyond™ , located in Dumont, NJ, partners with several Bergen County Synagogues to offer Bimah Baskets to their members having Bar/Bat Mitzvah's. Baskets-n-Beyond™ first introduced Bimah Baskets to the Bergen County area in 1993.. Michele Petrillo, owner of Baskets-n-Beyond has done Bimah baskets filled with books, baby items, food, cat/dog food. All types of containers are used from laundry baskets to wicker baskets to metal trash cans. Prices range from $100-$200 each. People usually order 2 baskets one for each side of the Bimah. Baskets-n-Beyond™ is always looking for new ways to help local charities and the child going thru a Bar/Bat Mitzvah so there are no boundaries for what kinds of products can go into a Bimah basket.

For a bar mitzvah in Fairlawn, NJ, Baskets-n-Beyond™ created dog and cat food gift baskets arranged in plastic trash cans for center pieces that were later donated to a local animal shelter. A client asked Baskets-n-Beyond™ to create Bimah baskets filled with baby items like diapers and toys, and after the Bar Mitzvah the child donated them to a day care center for needy children in Newark, NJ. A temple in Closter asked Baskets-n-Beyond™ to create a Bimah basket around 150 donated books, after the Bar Mitzvah the child donated the books to local libraries in the Hackensack and Teaneck areas. Still the most popular type of Bimah basket is filled with non perishable foods that are later donated to local food banks

According to Michele Petrillo, owner and principal designer of Baskets-n-Beyond™ www.baskets-n-beyond.com , “a tasteful gift basket filled with items destined for a local food pantry or shelter is the perfect ornament for the Bimah on a special occasion. During Temple celebrations of all kinds, such baskets not only adorn the Bimah, but allow the family to honor the tradition of tzedakah at the same time.”

Bimah baskets are custom designed to reflect the color scheme and price range of the client. The contents are specially chosen to meet the needs of a local non-profit organization. Michele Petrillo, owner of Baskets-n-Beyond, “there is definitely an increasing desire from families to include the less fortunate in their celebrations, but they are often already overwhelmed with planning the event. Baskets-n-Beyond™ gift baskets take care of this important detail in a meaningful way, and also decorate the Bimah tastefully for the occasion.”

Community-based non-profit groups face ever-increasing need in this current economic climate, and the growing trend of Bimah baskets is a creative way to meet this need. Synagogues appreciate the partnership with Baskets-n-Beyond to create unique Bar/Bat Mitzvah and Bimah baskets, not only for the creative results, but for the excellent customer service Baskets-n-Beyond provides by delivering and setting up the baskets on Bimah or the day before the Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
