FASHION156.COM LAUNCHES – ‘TREATS FOR INTERNS’ – A GLOBAL INITIATIVE TO REWARD INTERNS AND OFFER THEM AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHOWCASE THEIR WORK.
FASHION156.COM - the pioneering online fashion magazine  - has launched a campaign to reward interns for their contributions to the fashion industry. The initiative offers interns an opportunity to showcase skills learnt or honed on their internship and be awarded prizes.

A series of daily treats will be offered to interns who can nominate themselves, or who have been nominated by their employer/colleague/friend. Winners will be selected based on work submitted to Fashion156, that the interns feel best showcases their skills, as well as an answer to the simple question: ‘What has your internship experience meant to you?”

Guy Hipwell FASHION156’s Founding Editor explained, ‘FASHION156 operates a highly successful internship programme, with many of our ex interns now employed by leading magazines, trend forecasting companies and PR agencies.  We are launching this initiative to add some positivity to the ongoing internship debate and celebrate the great work interns do. I often wondered if the fashion industry would grind to a halt without interns, and so feel it is time they were rewarded. Hopefully by also showcasing their work, some individuals may ever be offered jobs.”
