On February 22nd, 2012, a family dog, Toffee, made the shape of a nearly perfect heart in fresh fallen snow with his paw prints.  Toffee is a six year old cocker spanier and poodle mix known as a cockapoo.  His backyard creation was captured by his owners on photo and video.

Toffee's unique "snow-heart-art" has been turned into a picture postcard that people can customize and mail accross the United States through a simple to use website, http://www.heartofadogpostcard.com.  The postcard was created to encourage people to pass along Toffee's love to people they love and to help raise money for animal shelters.  A postcard is mailed with the sender's message written on the back for a secure PayPal payment of $2.32.  A portion of profit is donated to animal shelters and they have a goal of mailing 5,000 postcards during 2012.

"We'd like to think it was Toffee's way of telling us just how much he loves us" stated Toffee's owners.  "Despite being a little over a week past valentine's day, his act of unconditional love was really special" they added.

Toffee's owners can't help but wish for more snow next winter to see what he comes up with next!
