2012, Vol. 7, No. 1 edition of StudentFilmmakers Magazine Reveals Pickett’s Tips and Techniques for Shooting a Short Film

March 25, 2012 - PRLog -- (Nashville, Tennessee) – Nashville film director Ryan Pickett is profiled in the 2012, Vol. 7, No. 1 edition of Student Filmmakers magazine. This interview with Pickett shows the success of his short film Look, which won awards in the Accolade Competition, Best Shorts Competition and California Film Awards. Pickett discusses his experience of shooting on location in Nashville with local cast and crew with help from Watkins College of Art, Design and Film.

Look was shot on the RED One 4K. Pickett directed Look when he attended Watkins College of Art, Design and Film after he earned his B.A. in English with a minor in film from University of Maryland College Park. Pickett, who appeared in the television show Arrested Development as the Young Oscar Bluth, was a top 5 finalist in the Race to BE film entrepreneurship competition hosted by media mogul Russell Simmons at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles for the submission of his first film You Only Loved Me Twice as well as a business proposal for his production company.
