PRLog (Press Release) -
Mar. 24, 2012 - This simple narrative is the story of an expatriated poor family consisting of a set of human characters. They find it hard to make their day’s end. Moreover there are more unavoidable problems of daily-life. Right from the very beginning they are seen in their continuous fight to make themselves free from the man-made chains in which they are tightly bound. Truly, this is the society which claims a heavy toll from everybody to conform within it. This unfortunate family is, unfortunately, no exception to it. People always try to get the upper hand of them, especially, in their rainy days. These inhuman tortures, physical as well as mental and psychological, are cutting deep into their hearts and souls. But, man can be destroyed, not defeated. A true struggler is the person, who bets his last breath to tide over the insufferable moments. They also struggle hard to make their mere living and existence possible against the socio-economic and socio-religious forces which are always playing havoc upon their basic human rights.
Here, Agnihotri touches another basic point; the theme of human rights. Human beings are the most valued elements in human society, at least, they should be considered so. But, is the simple thing kept so simple in today’s ‘civilized’
society? Of course, they are valued. But, according to the price they can offer against it. The basic value judgement is almost abolished from this welfare society. And these unfortunate lots are deprived of it. They have to stumble and stagger from pillar to post for making a safe foothold in their social, religious and economic surroundings in which they live. Can they achieve success? Can their dream be crowned with prosperity? Or, will they be simply lost in the millions of unfortunate people of this ‘developing’
country?
