March 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Orlando, FL (USA) – ServicePilot Technologies expands their support of voice over IP (VoIP) and unified communications (UC) platforms with the general availability of ISM Enterprise version 8.1, their integrated network and application performance monitoring solution. The new release includes support for Avaya VoIP and UC products and Acme Packet Net-Net™ session border controllers (SBCs). ServicePilot ISM Enterprise already provides support for a wide range of UC, VoIP, application and infrastructure technologies from Cisco®, Microsoft®, Alcatel-Lucent®, and Aastra®. The announcement was made at Enterprise Connect, the leading enterprise communications conference.

UC and VoIP systems are particularly complex to manage. They require monitoring a wide range of infrastructure components from multiple vendors, utilizing different technologies, supporting a variety of applications and platforms in widely distributed locations. ISM Enterprise provides a single, consolidated view of the entire UC and VoIP ecosystem. It combines availability, performance and service level management plus capacity planning in a single product.

This all-in-one solution is easy to use and deploy. It features an architecture that can be readily adapted to support new technologies. There is no need to add modules, features or plug-ins to support new devices, applications or vendors. ISM is very scalable, so it can be implemented incrementally and upgraded seamlessly. This provides customers with complete flexibility to cost-effectively deploy VoIP and UC and determine what they want to monitor in their environment.  ServicePilot ISM Enterprise can be licensed or rented on a pay-per-use basis. It offers a very comprehensive and economical solution for UC, VoIP and infrastructure monitoring for enterprises and service providers.

“ServicePilot ISM Enterprise was designed to simplify VoIP and UC management and deliver fast time to value,” noted Bertrand Mahe’, President and CTO of ServicePilot. “We offer customers a proven alternative to competitive monitoring tools, and we continue to enhance ISM to support a wider range of technologies and address customer requirements.”

The ISM Enterprise support for Avaya and Acme Packet SBC monitoring includes call quality and call activity statistics. This provides better visibility regarding the quality of service and call volume. The support for Avaya includes performance and availability monitoring for the Aura® Communication Manager and other infrastructure components such as servers, trunk groups, network regions, etc. The support for Acme Packet includes the SBC’s status, calls per second, CPU and memory utilization, gateway endpoints, H.323 registrations, redundancy status and session details.

A wide range of standard and customizable dashboards, portals and reports are available in ISM Enterprise. The latest version includes a new self-service reporting feature that is very easy to use. It also includes the ability to report call quality by zone, network or vendor and an extension masking feature on reports to ensure privacy.
