McClure's vision for the Urban Inspirational Awards is very clear... “I wanted to not only promote Inspirational rap music and give awards to the artist, but I wanted to give out awards to people who have seeded into my life & community leaders/activists who are doing things to clean up the inner city neighborhood's from drugs, guns and gang activity. “ For the 6th year National Recording artist Correy “H.O.O.D” McClure is joining forces with the Charlotte Community to bring national recognition to Inspirational music and Outstanding Community Leaders.
The Urban Inspirational Awards will be held April 20th-21st, 2012 at New Covenant Bibleway Church. The event is sponsored by Inspirationallifemusic.com, Skye & Associates and HOOD Life Entertainment. The weekend event will provide entertainment, education and inspiration through music, and recognition of the “unsung” leaders in our community. The youth will be awarded through a special program that gives them an opportunity to do community service work and leadership programs.
