Best Friends Animal Society staff members and volunteers
What: Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center is coordinating with Best Friends Animal Society of Utah to rescue 20 adult dogs that were used for breeding purposes at “puppy mills” in the southwestern and Midwestern U.S. These dogs were later abandoned by the puppy mill owners when they were no longer deemed useful.
The dogs will be picked up from a location in Armonk, New York and brought back to Save-A-Pet. The staff members and volunteers at Save-A-Pet will nurse these animals back to health so that they can be ready for adoption by March 29. Ms. Scofield is asking for a forever home for these pets and donations to cover the animals’ medical costs.
