The Awards ceremony, was held in the Parliament and was attended by members of the House of Commons, members of the House of Lords, Councillors, Entrepreneurs, business people and many more from across the country.
Vic said “It is a great honour to receive such an prestigious award in the Palaces of Westminster and I would like to thank the IBBF, its management, the judges and the people who have nominated me for this award. This would not have been possible without the blessings of the Almighty, blessings of my elders, my parents in Leicester, Kuwait and Montreal, families, friends, well wishers. I am collecting this award on behalf of our mother Harwinder K Anand, brother Harjot S. Anand, my sister-in-law Preety, my Uncle Babu Anand, my wife Dimple and all our five children. Also the other people behind this success are the whole team of our organisations Anand International and Daewoo International Europe , our suppliers and customers without whom this would have not been achievable”
“I am proud to be British and very fortunate to be living in Britain. I am sincerely grateful to the Royal family for having us here in this great land of opportunity. I feel very honoured to be receiving this award in this great year which is the year of Her Majesty’s The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee who is also the head of the Commonwealth”
Vic commented that “I want to see the revival of the British Industry and it can be achieved by the support of the the unions and the government. The government should look into imposing higher import duties on imported products where there is a domestic producer of such products and also by offering incentives to exporters on British manufactured goods. This will give security and protection to local manufacturers and also encourage others to get back into manufacturing again and more jobs will be created. There is a huge market out there in the world who would pay a higher price for British manufactured goods. The retailers support is very crucial as they can help and protect the local industry by supporting more local produced products wherever possible and offering to the consumer, which can also be a seen as a part of their social responsibility or contribution to the industry. This is the time for all of us to be United in making a New Stronger and Powerful Britain.”
