Diane Moore, is the CEO of Striving for More, (http://www.Striving4more.org)  a Triangle-based nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that children with cancer and their families receive quality emotional and spiritual support.  Moore's passion for helping families is personal, as she lost her 8 year old daughter, Colleen, to Osteosarcoma in 2008.  After the Moore family's tragic experience, Diane noticed that there was an alarming lack of psychological and emotional support available in hospitals for children with cancer.  Striving for More is dedicated to ensuring that children with cancer and their families receive quality emotional and spiritual support.

Striving For More, Inc. offers this support to UNC and Duke Children's oncology departments in the following ways:  patient support groups, Book Donations, Beads of Courage program, Procedure Room Art Mural, Medical Play Dolls and additional resources for parents.
