Over 130 people enjoyed a talk from Professor Peter Barham of Bristol University on the science of taste and flavour.
Peter looked at, with the assistance of volunteers from the audience; factors that make some food taste nice while others can be mediocre or disgusting.
Jo Furber, Literature Officer at the Dylan Thomas Centre said “It was great to see so many people visit the Centre for this event.
“Peter was clearly very passionate about this subject and the audience seemed to enjoy, particularly those who got involved as volunteers”.
The Swansea Science Café offers opportunities for anyone to find out more about new, exciting and topical areas of science.
Designed to be informal and entertaining, entry is free and talks start at 7:30 pm at the Dylan Thomas Centre.
