Atlona's HDBaseT 8x8 AT-PRO2HD88M, 16x16 AT-PRO2HD1616M matrix switchers available from BZB Express

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 22, 2012 - The latest addition to Atllona’s family of high-speed HDMI matrix switchers was recently released. The new 8x8 AT-PRO2HD88M and 16x16 AT-PRO2HD1616M HDMI matrix switchers became available for purchasing. Featuring HDBaseT™ technology, these units are capable of extending HDMI sources, including full uncompressed HD audio/video signal at 1080p for up to 330 feet over one Cat-5/6/7 cable.  Users can also update firmware and extend signals for up to 450 feet. EDID management, bidirectional RS-232, and zone specific bidirectional IR pass-through up to 60 kHz are available, allowing installers to have a control over any signal source or display.

Atlona’s 8x8 and 16x16 high-speed HDMI matrix switchers would be an ideal solution for remotely located HD sources such as satellite Blu-ray™ players, satellite receivers, set-top boxes or any other HDMI devices. The AT-PRO2HD88M and AT-PRO2HD1616M feature 8 and 16 HDMI inputs respectively with the same number of independently switchable CAT outputs to route AT-PRO2HDREC and AT-PRO2HD1616M-RX receiver modules, which sold separately. The receiver modules are featured with locking power connectors and bidirectional RS-232 and IR, extending HDMI sources for up to 450 feet at  resolutions of 1080p that support all 3D formats. AT-PRO2HD1616M-RX also has built-in audio and de-embedding feature. The AT-PRO2HD88M and AT-PRO2HD1616M are able to equalize,  amplify, and re-clock the signal, allowing accurate transmission for long distances without signal quality loss.

Both switchers have stereo pass-through, that allows the transmission of local source audio to zone receiver units from the matrix head-end. Ability to support RS-232 and IR makes these units an ideal solution for control systems like RTI, Control4 and others. They also provide support for Deep Color, HDCP, and all 3D formats, while preserving 7.1-channel digital audio, including Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD. U-rack ears for rack mount installations and portability are included.
