Covenant Place of Lenexa, KS Breaks Ground on New Retirement Community

March 21, 2012 - PRLog -- A new era in Johnson County senior living began on Wednesday, March 21 with groundbreaking for the 107-unit Covenant Place of Lenexa retirement community. Opening is set for spring of next year.

Participating in the groundbreaking event at 8505 Pflumm Road in Lenexa, KS, were municipal officials and representatives of Covenant Retirement Communities, Inc., Skokie, IL, and the local development and management teams, Scenic Development, LLC, and Pivotal Health Care, LLC.

"This is an exciting day for the Lenexa community," said Mayor Michael Boehm. "Our area residents want and need the quality housing options that Covenant Place of Lenexa will provide."

Once complete, Covenant Place of Lenexa will offer residential Independent Living, Assisted Living, Short-term Rehabilitation and Long-term Care to seniors seeking a wide range of housing and health care choices in a newly built community conveniently located in Lenexa.

"Covenant Place of Lenexa offers seniors the opportunity to enjoy a dynamic lifestyle packed with leisure and social activities," said Joel Erickson of Scenic Development. Living choices include expansive one- and two-bedroom apartment residences with one to two large bathrooms and spacious closets. Most residences include a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, and walk-in closets.
