The Point restaurant official food supplier for the 2012 Texoma Lakefest Regatta

March 20, 2012 - PRLog -- The Texoma Lakefest organizers announced that The Point restaurant, at Grandpappy Point Marina, will host the Sailors Reception and dinner on Friday evening and the Shipwrecked Ball on Saturday.

The Friday fare will be burgers and brats, with all the fix’ins.  Patrons will also get to enjoy dancing to the tunes from DJ Mike Hinton as he plays their requests.

On Saturday night at the Shipwrecked Ball, sailors will feast on good ol’ Texas barbeque featuring brisket and sausage, right from the Dreamland Texas smoker, with all the trimmings!  Enjoy the tunes of Ben Shurr as he strums his twelve string guitar to the crowd’s favorites.

After a hard day of sailing enjoy a massage and browse through the vast array of silent auction items.

In addition to the nightly meals, The Point will be serving breakfast, as well as boxed lunches as options to the racers.

About Texoma Lakefest Regatta – As the oldest inland charity regatta in the United States, the Texoma Lakefest Regatta has been benefiting children’s charities in North Texas for over 25 years.  The 2012 edition benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas and is held April 13-15, 2012.  The venue is Grandpappy Point Marina on Lake Texoma.
