Operator will deliver government-issued real-time public safety messages over the wireless network

PRLog - Mar. 20, 2012 - MORRISVILLE, N.C. -- Pago Pago, American Samoa – Velleros, the leading provider of mass notification and content delivery for regional wireless carriers, today announced that Blue Sky Communications is deploying the Velleros Aggregation and Syndication Technology (VASTtm) platform in compliance with the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) initiative for providing alert delivery.  Based upon the Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS) managed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Velleros solution allows the carrier to provide its customers with location-based alert messages.  These geographically-targeted notifications likely represent imminent threats to life, health, and property, and will be delivered automatically to affected constituents.
