March 20, 2012 - PRLog -- GEF Institute’s offer to save $50 off the regular price of $250 for online sustainability education ends tonight.  All of the Institute's 15 hour online courses are eligible for professional development or academic credit. By taking advantage of the $50 savings students can cover the cost of purchasing credit from the Institute’s university partner.

The early bird deadline applies to two of the Institute’s online courses. Choose from their foundations course, Introduction to Sustainability Concepts, or their newest offering, Water and Sustainability. Both courses launch on April 1 and include dynamic video narration, engaging assessments and activities, a lively forum discussion, and more. The Institute anticipates another round of rave reviews from their audience of students, educators, and professionals. A sample of testimonials from the 2011 pilot course highlight the Institute’s successes:

“The videos are fabulous and just the right length. The questions and material are thought provoking and thus effective. I find this course so engrossing that I often do not see time fly by and suddenly I realize I have been working on it for 3 hours! I also had hesitations about on-line courses in general, but now I am ‘sold.’”
- Annette Sampon-Nicolas, Course Pilot Participant, 2011

“My complements to the e-learning designer for an excellent integration of video, text and easy navigation. I am impressed with both the quality of the information and the effective and engaging use of technology used to convey the information.”
- Bryan Field, Course Pilot Participant, 2011
