BRANDWATCH TECHNOLOGIES APPOINTS NEIL IVEY AS NEW CEO
Industry veteran selected to lead company in next phase of growth

PORTLAND, OR – MARCH 20, 2012 – BrandWatch Technologies, a provider of covert technology solutions that aid in the detection of counterfeit documents and products worldwide, named Neil Ivey as its new Chief Executive Officer.  He succeeds Phil Huff, the former CEO, who will continue to serve on the BrandWatch Board of Directors. Mr. Ivey, who has been involved in the security industry since the 1990s, has been selected to spearhead the company’s strategic growth plan.

Ivey’s experience in the security industry includes several positions involving Sales, Marketing, Advocacy, Public Relations, and Management.  Ivey established the Government Affairs Department for the Security Industry Association, the largest Association representing the manufacturers of electronic security products, and built the Federal Government division for Authentix, Inc., securing millions of dollars in contracts and Federal appropriations.  He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and a member of several industry groups and associations.  Prior to joining BrandWatch as VP of Sales, he worked for Payne Security, managing the North & South American operations for the UK-based company.

“In this industry, having a trusted partner with an unassailable track record in delivering new and improved solutions is vital.  BrandWatch continues to improve not only our materials, but is committed to delivering state of the art detection and reading technologies that have not been seen in this market previously,” said Ivey.  “BrandWatch manufactures security materials that when compared to our competitor’s materials are brighter, more consistent, and optimally sized for our client’s specific applications. Our newest device, TAU, is going to capitalize on those factors, enabling us to create custom, unique signatures from a single taggant material for our clients products and documents.”

BrandWatch Technologies supplies a range of security materials and solutions that enable governments, brand owners and consumers to authenticate products and documents.  BrandWatch is best known for its range of Taggant materials and corresponding detection technologies, and has recently added a Forensic-level identifier to its range of materials.

“The Board and I are thrilled to have Neil take the leadership role at BrandWatch,” said former CEO and current Board Member Phil Huff.  “His experience should be a tremendous asset as the company enters its next phase of growth.  We’ve built a tier 1 team here over the past 4 years, and I can think of no one better than Neil to lead them.”
