By: Robert H. McDonald Jr- 3rd Vice Chair Mesa Legislative District 25 Democratic Party Vice Chairman for Media and Communications Robert Hernandez McDonald Jr., a notable Pearce foe, speaking on behalf of the Mesa LD 25 Democratic Party stated tonight that the Legislative 25 Democratic Party will not allow Sen. Russell Pearce to regain or obtain any seat in any branch of government and will oppose his candidacy for the Arizona State Senate in 2012. It should be noted that Sen. Pearce lost to current Sen. Jerry Lewis last November by a 12 point margin due to assistance from both Democratic and Independent voters. The Mesa LD 25 Democratic Party understands that it will be an up hill battle to prevent Mr. Pearce from winning this Senate seat and will try to recruit a strong candidate to run against Mr. Pearce if he wins the Primary Election slated for mid-August 2012 where Mr.Pearce will face long time Mesa businessman Robert Worley, the founder of SkyMall. Vice Chair Robert McDonald stated "Russell Pearce is damaged goods due to his loss to Sen. Jerry Lewis (R-Mesa)". Mr. McDonald also went on to say that "Mr. Pearce's hate toward the latino community, support for Tea Party policies that have caused much pain to Arizona residents and tax payers, and his brand of the intolerance to the unemployed, the elderly and homeowners is what got him thrown out of office in the first place, furthermore Mr. Pearce made Arizona look bad to the rest of the nation and globally with SB 1070. The people of LD 18 said in a loud voice enough is enough, the voters of LD 25 will say the same in August when Mr. Pearce runs in the Primary." # # # We are part of the Arizona Democratic Party that covers the Legislative District 25 area in Mesa, Arizona.
