The pendant showcased MIIORI’s new patented FlashSet technique, in which a field of diamonds in the center of the piece changes from an Arkansas Razorback, mascot of McFadden’s alma mater, to his Oakland Raiders jersey number, ‘20’, in a holographic effect.
“Late last year, we hosted a shopping event in our boutique, the proceeds of which would benefit Face Forward, Inc. Darren attended to show his support for the charity, which provides facial reconstructive surgery for victims of violence, and we immediately connected over a mutual passion for design and philanthropy. He was impressed by the unique edginess of the MIIORI collection and, of course, wanted to make a contribution, so the idea for the customized piece was born,” explains Michael Beaudry, president of Beaudry International.
Coined from the words “Oro” and “My Love”, MIIORI is designed for the modern woman, representing the wearer’s strength and sensuality in each design. In 2010 Beaudry began collaboration with MIIORI, based on their synergistic style to the Beaudry aesthetic, and is now the North American distributor of the Collection. The collection can be viewed at the Beaudry flagship salon at the Montage Beverly Hills and at fine jewelry retailers nationwide. For more information, visit http://www.miioriny.com.
