Globally Proven Parent Effectiveness Training Workshop Held in San Diego

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 19, 2012 - SOLANA BEACH, CA -- Gordon Training International (GTI) will be conducting an instructor training workshop in San Diego for those wishing to teach Parent Effectiveness Training  (P.E.T.), the parenting program developed by Dr. Thomas Gordon.  

Counselors, therapists and professionals who work with all ages of children, can attend this workshop and then offer P.E.T. classes in their communities, organizations, churches and so forth.  To teach P.E.T., you do need to be a certified instructor and successfully completing this workshop is the first step.

The P.E.T. program (first conducted by Dr. Gordon in 1962) was the first workshop of its kind to teach parents skills like Active Listening, I-Messages, No-Lose Conflict Resolution, Shifting Gears and problem ownership—most of these skills were developed by Dr. Gordon.
