PDA and Crown Paints Launch New Campaign To Support Members

March 19, 2012 - PRLog -- The Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) and Crown Paints are launching a new campaign urging homeowners to choose quality over cost when selecting tradesmen to decorate their homes this spring.

‘It’s Good To Use A PDA Member’ has been developed to signpost householders towards rigorously vetted and trustworthy members of the Association for their projects.

The campaign message is being conveyed through press releases, being issued to newspapers and magazines across the country.

A video about the initiative, which is introduced by former BBC That’s Life presenter Howard Leader, has also been produced and can be found at www.youtube.com/useapdamember

The campaign is also going online, with a Facebook page and press releases being forwarded to consumer websites and blogs.

Neil Ogilvie, Chief Executive of the PDA, which has its headquarters in Nuneaton, said:
“We are using this campaign to get the message across to householders about the importance of choosing a PDA member to ensure a trustworthy and professional painter and decorator for their projects.

“The campaign will be showing how PDA members need to fulfil a number of requirements to be awarded membership - including evidence of more than five years’ experience in the industry.

“We also talk about how all our members need to meet and maintain stringent standards in order to join the association – and that membership is not automatic.

“Ultimately the campaign helps homeowners rest assured they are hiring a professionally skilled individual or company.”
