The Veritas founder and employees visited the foundation February 24 to tour the center and learn about the immediate and long-term needs of the organization, which operates outreach and family development programs to end the cycle of poverty in the Harlem Heights neighborhood. The foundation is also in the midst of a capital campaign to complete a new Cultural Arts and Community Center, which will be the hub for arts, education and personal development programs for children, teens, adults and the elderly.
“Everyone in our company is very impressed at the work the foundation is doing to help families in the Harlem Heights community gain new opportunity for enrichment and success,” said Ingram, a Harlem Heights Foundation past board president who has been personally involved with the foundation since 1999. “We’re interested in making sure Veritas has a philanthropic focus as a team. And it is a great opportunity to help the foundation continue and expand its mission for community building programs in the neighborhood.”
