Staff at Integratech raise money for children's charity

March 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Staff from Integratech Ltd, a Worcester based IT Services company, have recently completed a reverse bungee jump to raise money for local charity The Doctor Joe Jaffe Hospital Support Charity. The charity raises funds for the Cardiac Neonatal Baby Unit (Ward 11) at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, to provide vital lifesaving equipment for local children.

Integratech was established in 2001 by the merger of two successful IT businesses and has grown to become a leading provider of IT products and services for businesses throughout the Midlands and beyond.  

Lewis Brown and David Bates of Integratech Ltd raised £378.95 for the local charity by having friends and family sponsor them to complete a reverse bungee jump. The encounter had them seated in an open framed, twin seated spherical metal cage, attached by Bungee cords to 140ft telescopic towers. The only thing holding them down was an Electro-Magnet. When the magnet was switched off, Lewis and David were catapulted skyward, reaching a height of 200ft in less than 1.4 seconds.

Lewis comments “I have not experienced anything like this before, it was a feeling like no other, simply amazing! I am happy with the money David and I raised for the Doctor Joe Jaffe Hospital Support Charity and hope this can be used to make a real difference to a Child’s life.” In order to take part in the reverse bungee jump, participants were required to raise a minimum of £50 for the charity. Thanks to the determination of Lewis and David, the amount of money raised far exceeded this figure.
