Several years ago, while serving in the U.S. Army and stationed in Bosnia, Zimmerman experienced not one, but two instances that he would classify as miracles, no less dramatic than those described in the Bible. Zimmerman, who retired from the Army in January 2000 as a highly decorated twenty-year veteran at the rank of Sergeant First Class, believes that God still makes miracles happen today.
In A Time For Everything, Michael L. White masterfully recounts Kevin’s inspiring story of how he and his fellow soldiers walked through mine fields in Bosnia and came out alive on the other side. None of the mines detonated, although they were too numerous to count.
For his outstanding military service, Zimmerman received two (2) Soldiers Medals, the highest award given by Congress for an act of bravery while U.S. is not in a declared war. He has received media coverage in several publications, including the Wordsmith Journal, the Worcester Magazine and the Toledo Free Press.
