"I Love Mom" 5K Walk to Fight Breast Cancer Benefits Moms and Families

March 17, 2012 - PRLog -- On Saturday May 12th at the Winton Woods Park in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mommy Has Breast Cancer will be hosting their First Annual 5K “I Love Mom” Walk to Fight Breast Cancer.  

This is a fun, family-friendly event with even a special mini-walk created just for kids and families with young children.  We invite your child to join us in raising awareness and funds to support the challenges a breast cancer diagnosis brings not just for Mom, but also for the entire family.  

Please visit us online to get registered for this event (a Hamilton County Park Pass is included in your online registration).   Can’t join us for the walk?  That’s OK because you can register to “Sleep In” for the event and still support women and families fighting breast cancer.

Mommy Has Breast Cancer’s Mission :  Our mission is to serve women and families affected by breast cancer.  We do this by providing essential support services including, but not limited to child-friendly educational books, childcare, transportation, housekeeping, and healthy prepared meals to help patients manage their extraordinary lives as mothers, wives, and courageous women battling breast cancer.

Mommy Has Breast Cancer Supports the entire Family with :
   Delivery of delicious and healthy prepared meals that can easily heated or cooked
   Drop-in childcare services contracted with accredited daycare facilities
   Transportation Assistance to get Mom to and from treatment
   Housekeeping services for up to 3 months of treatment
   Illustrative age-appropriate books explain  to kids Mom’s breast cancer and her treatment
   1:1 support and education for spouses and significant others from other male co-survivors
