Sweet Elena’s Bakery and Café Celebrates April with Special Menu Additions

SAND CITY, CA (March 14, 2012) Sweet Elena’s Bakery and Café located at 465 D Olympia Avenue in Sand City is an artisan bakery, where everything is made from scratch, reminiscent of home country cooking, using fresh and local ingredients.

Today, Elena announced that the bakery will get even sweeter when it celebrates throughout the month of April with special menu additions including:
•         National Coffee Cake Day on Saturday, April 7th. Elena has created her own version of coffee cake filled with local, organic strawberries and rhubarb. The coffee cake will serve 8 people and sells for $20.00 per cake. To order a coffee cake, please call 24 hours in advance to 831.393.2063. Coffee cakes will be available Friday, April 6th and Saturday, April 7th.
•         Hot cross buns available Thursday, April 5 – Saturday, April 7th.  Elena’s hot cross buns are legendary.  Stop by and try them!
•         The April cupcake of the month will be a chocolate cupcake with chocolate cream cheese frosting.  Purchase 12 cupcakes in April get the 13th free!
•         Special strawberry coffee cake and lemon tarts for Easter available Thursday, April 5 – Saturday, April 7th.
•         Sweet Elena’s will be closed Easter Sunday.

Hours of Operation:
Monday- Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
