Clinton, MA High School thanks Ravenswood Dumpster Rental / Roll-off Service

March 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Ravenswood Dumpster Rental of Clinton is proud to have helped Clinton High School during these tough fiscal times by simply using its own in-house skills and resources to fix a school-owned dumpster.  Instead of painting the dumpster with the usual drab colors, Ravenswood chose to paint the dumpster with school colors and put the school mascot upon it.  Please see the article Principal James Hastings posted on the Clinton Public Schools website:

Recently, James Scesny, the owner of Ravenswood Services and Rubbish Removal made a kind and generous donation to Clinton High School. After several years of wear and tear, the dumpster at CHS was in poor condition. Looking to save the dumpster and being in a difficult budget situation, the high school turned to Ravenswood to repaint the existing dumpster. What he did was above and beyond what was ever expected. He did indeed have the corroding and holes welded and filled, as well as repaired other damage. He then went and purchased kelly green and gold paint, created a decal, and had a gold Gael (the school mascot) painted on the front.

To finalize his personal project, Mr. Scesny, donated all the time and labor free of cost. He was giving back to the community. We here at Clinton High School are truly, and sincerely grateful for their gift. Thank You, Mr. Scesny."


Owner of Ravenswood Services, LLC and longtime Clinton resident, Jim Scesny says of the donation, "I really didn't think much about it.  Since it was within the realm of what we routinely do, it was easy for me to offer the service to Mr. Hastings when I found out the school-owned dumpster was in need of repair."  Even though the school's dumpster is a permanent, rear-load type dumpster serviced by the town trash truck, it is similar to the open-top, temporary roll-off dumpsters we offer our customers so we are familiar with how to fix them.  Painting it green and putting the logo on it was fun for us and for Liquid Applications, a local painting company who helped us out.  

"My feeling on this is that it is easy for a business to give back to the community when it finds that an organization such as a school or a church has a need within their scope of skills and resources.  I challenge my fellow business owners to identify such needs around them and offer to help.  Its a little extra work and expense for expert in that field but it is a big deal to the recipient of such charity," says Jim Scesny of Ravenswood Dumpster Rental.
