RateTea Fixes Critical Bug Which Prevented Users From Adding New Teas To Database

March 16, 2012 - PRLog -- RateTea, an interactive website where anyone can rate and review teas, has identified and corrected a critical bug in the operation of their site that prevented users from adding new teas to the database.

RateTea had recently added a new feature which allows users to add new teas directly to the site's database.  Prior to the implementation of this feature, users only had the ability to suggest teas, and the teas would not be added immediately, only later, by a RateTea administrator.  This old system had the disadvantage of not allowing users to immediately rate and review the new tea.  The new system improved on this, however, it did not work, and furthermore, it had not generated any error message or notification that anything was wrong, further leading to a confusing and not particularly positive user experience.

RateTea encourages users who encountered the bug to return and try adding teas again:

This bug has been fully corrected.  The bug fix is being announced in as many places as possible, in order to encourage as many of the 50+ users who encountered the bug to return to the site and try again to add teas
