SKECHERS Latest Sponsor of Ultimate Mud Run: Night Ops

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 16, 2012 - CHERRY HILL, N.J. – SKECHERS has signed on as the latest sponsor of South Jersey’s next must-do event, Ultimate Mud Run: Night Ops, in Millville April 21.  The popular footwear company, known for its casual shoes and sneakers, will be knee-deep in the muddy goings on at this most dirty challenge that tests endurance while empowering runners to conquer their fears.

Ultimate Mud Run: Night Ops is a fun, non-competitive event that lets runners choose their challenge.  They can select a 2-, 4- or 7-plus-mile course based on their abilities, comfort level, and personal threshold for getting grimy.  Riddled with military-style obstacles – all lit in neon –  Ultimate Mud Run: Night Ops is about pushing yourself, not beating the person next to you.

During the evening, runners can visit the SKECHERS GOrun booth to test out a pair of SKECHERS GOrun footwear and enter to win giveaways.  Spectators can cheer on the SKECHERS GOrun team.

“SKECHERS makes a great partner for Ultimate Mud Run, as both the event and the company’s products are designed for everyone, not just athletes,” says Phil Pirollo, Ultimate Mud Run event coordinator.  “And of course, there are going to be a lot of sneakers needing replacing after the run.”  

Individual registration for Ultimate Mud Run: Night Ops ranges from $129-$149, and a portion of all registration fees will benefit one of a dozen charities, including Homes for Our Troops, Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Purple Heart Veterans Foundation.  Runners can save money by signing up as a team captain and recruiting their friends.

Ultimate Party Passes, which allow spectators to enjoy food, beer and live bands while rooting on their friends and family members, are $24, a portion of which goes to charity.
