A gifted artist, LaBrie's works span multiple genres including landscapes, coastal scenes, portraits and still life. Although Jay studied with Canadian artist Claude Picard and later with artist Lily Michaud at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, he considers himself mostly self taught transforming these early influences on his work into his own signature style. LaBrie's works are exhibited locally and nationally and are held in numerous private collections.

Richard Boyd Gallery exhibits original works of art by established and up and coming artists working in the media of painting, pottery, sculpture and glass. An art studio on the 2nd floor produces original art works with focus on ceramic art and pottery.
