Over Two Hundred Schools To Participate In Sit And Draw Art Competition For Students

March 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Mumbai, 16 March, 2012: Those who spend their time drawing creative and artistic pieces while the lecture is on, this contest might be of great interest to them. The opportunity to participate in the Sit and Draw competition that has been organized for the students across the city is for free.
The competition for budding artists in the city initiated by Niki Hingad Art Foundation (NHAF) is to be held on 6th of April at the Sir J J School Of Arts. It will be followed by a special enriching ART demonstration, from the lecturers of Sir J J School of Arts Institute. The participants also include a group of cancer patients and children from Specially Abled Schools.
Talking about the initiative, Ms. Niki Hingad, Founder – NHAF, says, “This is a great way to inspire children's creativity and develop their passion filled skills. We have always nurtured young talent and tried to provide a platform to such blooming minds. The upcoming Sit and Draw Art Competition is one such medium for children to gain an opportunity to express and showcase their art.”
The competition is based on an easy theme for children to adapt to. Such an inter school competition not only helps to built up the confidence levels of students but also encourages them to come forth and participate with a healthy competitive spirit. Not only will the work of the students be appreciated by a select set of judges here, but also will the final winners be awarded by legendary artists.
The competition is for three age groups i.e. ‘Veni’ category – Age 6.5 – 10 yrs, ‘Vidi’ category – Age 11 – 14 yrs and ‘Vici’ category – Age 14 above.
