You Can Help Preserve The History Of The Old West

Learn how you can help to preserve the Old West. Check out this ebook about Jerome, Arizona.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 16, 2012 - Jeff Colburn, a photographer in Arizona, is creating a photography ebook titled "The Vanishing Old West - Jerome." This book will celebrate and preserve the Old West.

"The Vanishing Old West - Jerome" focuses on Jerome, Arizona, a mining town, turned ghost town, turned artist community. This town, that's just 0.7 square mile in size, once had 15,000 inhabitants. When the mine closed this number dropped to about 50, and has rebounded to about 450 people today.

Jeff is currently funding this project through IndieGoGo at //igg.me/p/69467?a=432752. People can go here to support this project, and receive copies of the book and/or Jeff's Fine Art photographs in exchange for their support.

"My book will show people that parts of the Old West still exist," Jeff said. "I want people to know that history is still alive, still around them. Making them aware of this can lead to a better understanding of our past, and preservation of those amazing pieces of history that still exist. My photographs will preserve this history for future generations."

Look closely at the photographs in this book, and you will be taken back in time. You will see houses, cars and machinery that are vanishing, or already gone. Gone forever from our world, and never to return. They are victims of time, neglect and Nature's eternal and Herculean efforts to turn everything to dust.

The timing of "The Vanishing Old West - Jerome" coincides with the Arizona Centennial. It will help celebrate the rich history of Arizona with the rest of the United States and the world.
