Highmage’s Plight is an experiment in creating an evolving online science fiction/fantasy series, which led to the publication of the debut novel of the series by Malachite Quills Publishing.
D.H. Aire, author of Highmage’s Plight, explains, “In a world of digital publishing, I am experimenting. I am seeking to create an evolving series online where readers can interact and make suggested changes to dialog, text, and actions to each book in the series, whether published in ebook form today, or unpublished as the sequels are serialized online.” For example, the first one hundred interested buyers of the Highmage’s Plight ebook are being offered the opportunity to have exclusive access to the online version of the series. The author D.H. Aire has walked the ramparts of the Old City of Jerusalem and through an escape tunnel out of a Crusader fortress that Richard the Lionheart once called home.
