Houston native Mark Anthony’s brand has grown to be very eminent over the course of 20 years in the city. The events and promotions guru has been dedicated to bringing only the best of the best concert events in Houston’s nightlife entertainment.  Over time he has built strong personal and business relationships with both major and independent industry professionals. Mark Anthony is also an aggressive talent and artist development manager determined to enhance the quality of talent emerging from the Houston, Texas area. He created the “I Am The Headliner A&R Concert Series” in order to create an avenue that will attract marketable talent. The series has been very successful since its inception in 2010; consequently, 2012 opens a third year of greater expectations.

Each month, hundreds of independent artists from the Houston metro area and beyond seek the opportunity to participate in the highly competitive series.   February 25th’s opener was massive with the Jet Lounge filled to capacity and great performances by several of the city’s hottest unsigned talents.  The winners were as follows 1st Place: “Tha Grind”,  2nd Place, “Major One Entertainment”, and 3rd  Amil Record’s “Rizzle.”  

“I Am The Headliner A&R Concert Series” provides a platform for marketable independent artists to perform and gain a fan base in a while in a live concert setting.  Participants are given the opportunity to prove their marketability, sell tickets to each event to generate income, and are critiqued on their overall stage performances by music industry professionals. The objective of each segment this platform is to train and develop dedicated artists to become professionals as they hone their skills in performing arts.

Mark Anthony and his team are dedicated to empowering and educating artists who are serious about their music and elevating their careers. He has formed a conglomerate of industry professionals who specialize in cultivating opportunities for independent artists to grow their careers and gain traction with a broader audience. The following team members have dedicated their time and expertise to Mark Anthony’s vision to give these groups of aspiring individuals leverage to pursue a professional career in music:

The next concert is Saturday, March 24, 2012 and will begin at 8:30 p.m.  Subsequently each concert is scheduled for the last Saturday of each month . There will be 20-25 artists competing for cash and other prizes.

Artists are encouraged to pre-register before the 15th of each month as the slots full up quickly! The process is to email at least three mp3 version songs and a press kit which includes photos and the links to social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Reverbnation etc) to iamtheheadlinerseries@gmail.com and markanthonyevents@gmail.com
