E-Poll Market Research Releases Annual Report on Celebrity Marketing
(March 14, 2012) E-Poll Market Research, a leading provider of celebrity and brand research, has released the results of its annual report on the state of the celebrity market. Based on E-Poll’s E-Score Celebrity research product, the report summarizes American attitudes towards more than 6,500 different celebrities across the fields of entertainment, sports, politics and business. Among the findings:
Most Appealing: Betty White continues to be the most appealing celebrity in America. This is her second year at the top of the list. Others in the top ten include Sandra Bullock, Michael J. Fox and Tom Hanks. Dropping out of the top ten was Will Smith.
Biggest Gainers: Parks & Recreation funnyman Aziz Ansari heads the list of biggest gainers, with a 16 point gain in appeal. Melissa McCarthy, Aaron Rogers and Andy Samberg are also notable names from the top ten gainers.
Biggest Decliners: Tyler Perry and Shaun White experienced the largest declines in likability. Perry was in the news for the portrayal of some characters in his movies and TV show, while White’s appeal sagged in a non-Olympic year. Paula Deen, Mark Sanchez and Selena Gomez also appear on the list of biggest decliners.
