PRLog - Mar. 15, 2012 - CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Spring Hill. FL - Suncoast Rehabilitation Center, a Narconon Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation facility has teamed up with Friends of Narconon to educate young people on the dangers of drugs in a unique school program.

The Friends of Narconon Drug Education program is designed to provide young people with the true and correct educational materials about drugs so that they can make-up their own mind to stay away from them.

An independent study of the Narconon Drug Education Program conducted by FASE (Foundation for Advancements in Science and Education) in Los Angeles concluded: "Changes in those who had indicated that they might use drugs were quite pronounced. Responses clearly indicated a heightened awareness of the adverse effects caused by drug abuse. Comments indicating that they would now never use drugs were common."

Narconon has developed one of the most powerful drug education programs that has proven itself to get results time and again.   The Friends of Narconon provides this education program in the form of “The Truth about Drugs” Video Series.  They seek sponsorships which enables them to send these materials to schools and institutions across the Country.

Suncoast Rehabilitation Center is sponsoring this program in schools in their local area.  “We have committed ourselves to sponsor the Narconon Drug Education program to schools in our area,” says Tammy Strickling, Narconon Suncoast Rehabilitation Center Executive Director. “We like to tackle the alcohol and drug abuse problem from both ends. On one end, we help rehabilitate addicts to recover and live productive drug free lives and on the other end, we provide drug prevention education to young people so they can learn the truth about drugs and never start using them.”

Following are some responses Suncoast Rehabilitation Center has received from students who have watched “The Truth about Drugs” Video Series that is part of the highly successful Narconon Drug Prevention Education program:  “Thanks! You changed my view on drugs completely. This video is actually life changing to me,”  M.J. “I can use this to show people who do drugs how stupid they look and really how uncool it is,” D.L.  “Thanks for donating the video because it taught me a lot,” J.A. “I really like that there were real Narconon graduates telling their story of what they did and why it is not good for you,” S.M.  “I can use what I learned to influence other people to NOT do drugs,” C.T.
