PRLog (Press Release) -
Mar. 15, 2012 - Susan Spiritus writes in her juror’s statement for the upcoming Black and White exhibition, “works, which speak to me, must have strength and power of composition;
yet need to be simple and elegant. They also need to have uniqueness to them or an experimental quality…” Her aesthectic is evident in the fifty-one pieces she has chosen for the exhibition. Featuring work from Carmen Spitznagel (Juror’s Selection), Diane Poinski (Juror’s Honorable Mention), and Irvin Williams (Juror’s Honorable Mention), the exhibition as a whole is a powerful example of Black and White’s ability to evoke emotional response and portray a poetic sense of the world.
Susan Spiritus is the director of Susan Spiritus Gallery in Newport Beach, California.
