Longtime friends of CMC, Wesla Whitfield and Mike Greensill will perform selections from The American Songbook; the CMC Children’s Chorus led by Bay Area Theater Critics Circle Awards nominee Beth Wilmurt will charm the audience with folk songs from around the world, and former Boz Scaggs trumpeter and CMC faculty member Dave Scott’s jazz trio will light up the Yoshi’s Lounge before and after the program. Local monologist and Community Music Center Board Treasurer Paul Sussman will emcee this evening.
Board members Terri Kwiatek and Joseph Schubert will co-chair the event. Host committee members include District 9 Supervisor David Campos, President of the Board of Supervisors David Chiu, and Senators Dianne Feinstein and Mark Leno.
Party-goers will enjoy wine from La Folia Winery and Yoshi’s award-winning cuisine. There will be many opportunities to both support CMC students and take home great prizes!
