Central FL Branding Firm Wins Several 2012 ADDY and Benny Awards

CNP • Clark/Nikdel/Powell was recognized with several prestigious awards including AdFed’s Judges Choice Award, 13 Gold and 11 Silver ADDY Awards – as well as five Benny Awards, at the Imperial Polk Advertising Federation’s annual event, held at the Polk Museum of Art in Lakeland, FL.

CNP’s Judges’ Choice Award was given for the company’s development of a television spot for Lakeland Electric’s “PlugIntoSmart” Smart Meter Awareness campaign. CNP’s Gold Awards were in the categories of Sales Promotion, Out-of-Home, Website, Television and Mixed/Multiple Media. The “PlugIntoSmart” TV spot went on to win a Gold District award. Additional work received Silver ADDY Awards from multiple categories. The firm’s Benny Awards represented the “Best in Category” for Out-of-Home Advertising, Television, Mixed/Multiple Media, Advertising for the
Arts & Sciences, and Elements of Advertising.

The ADDY Awards is the industry’s largest and most prestigious advertising competition and recognizes all forms of advertising – from media of all types, from all over the world. Only Gold Award winners are moved onward to compete at the District level, then Nationally, in their respective categories.

The “Benny” Award represents the “Best of Category” award, named after the group’s most loyal and generous member – the late Dick Bennick, aka Dr. Paul Bearer of Channel 44’s “Creature Feature” series. This year, the awards were presented by Dr. Paul Bearer II, played by Richard Koon of Winter Haven, to help carry on the tradition.
