The Gateway for Cancer Research To Be Featured on “The Balancing Act”
on Lifetime Television

(Pompano Beach, FL – March 15, 2012)  Most people’s lives have been touched by cancer in one way or another. Tune in to the morning show, “The Balancing Act” on March 20th at 7:00 am (ET/PT) on Lifetime Television as Lynette Bisconti, President of The Gateway for Cancer Research SM, educates viewers on how they can make a difference in the fight against cancer.  The segment airs as part of the show’s “Fighting Cancer Now” series.

The Gateway for Cancer Research was founded to fund research for complementary and alternative treatments, new drug discoveries and novel combination therapies in all types of cancer.  During the segment, Bisconti will discuss the importance of knowing how donations are allocated when you give money to a cancer charity. Gateway makes sure that 99 cents of every dollar received goes to fund research.

One new exciting treatment currently underway is in the area of personalized medicine, using a patient’s genetic profile to tailor treatment specifically to them. Bisconti will also describe other technologies on the horizon that aim to help patients feel better and live longer.
