Goodwill of Houston Names John Ross Palmer as Featured Artist

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 14, 2012 - Artist John Ross Palmer has been selected  as Featured Artist for the Fiesta-themed Goodwill Gala to be held at the River Oaks Country Club on the evening of Saturday, April 21, 2012.  Goodwill Gala committee members visited  Palmer's chic Houston Heights art gallery and selected an amazing piece of Featured Artwork, an Oxford Series 46" x 40"  mixed media on canvas masterpiece that Palmer created in 2008.  100% of the proceeds from the auction of this painting will go towards Goodwill Houston and its mission to empower people with disabilities and other barriers to employment to succeed in life through training, education and job opportunities.  To learn more about this worthy cause, visit their website at GoodWillHouston.org.

John Ross Palmer is obviously excited about this amazing art accolade.  He says, "I too believe in empowering people to stand on their own as evidenced by my Escapist Mentorship Program that teaches artists to rely on themselves and be self-sufficient."  Goodwill Events Specialist Molly Sutherlin is thrilled that Palmer would be so generous with such an amazing piece of art.  She states, "I was absolutely in awe when I saw John's artwork in person!  The selection to have John Ross Palmer as our Featured Artist will no doubt bring huge awareness and funds to Goodwill."
