The United States is about to experience a "Silver Tsunami". Estimates show us that, for the next twenty years, approximately 10,000 people in America will be turning 65 every single day. Seniors over 65 are about to rise to 20% of our population. These could be your parents, your grandparents or aunts and uncles.
While drivers aged 65 are still statistically safe drivers, the physical, visual and mental abilities they need to drive safely – vision, reaction speed, flexibility - are gradually diminishing. Drivers who are over the age of 75 have a dramatically increased crash risk. It doesn't mean seniors can't continue to drive safely over 65, it just means that they need to be proactive in maintaining their safe driving health, in much the same way they maintain their overall health. That's where we come in.
