March 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Cutting-edge creativity rocks as it steps outside the box and morphs into the one-of-a-kind first edition of Winnipeg Fashion Week.  Canada’s newest fashion week is rolling out the red carpet from April 19th to 28th to welcome a glittering roster of dynamic and distinguished designers. They’re getting set to show off their spin on leading design for the spring/summer 2012-2013 season to local and international media and guests, who will be flocking to the first fashion week in Winnipeg.

The Creative Group, producer of WFW, continues to stay ahead of the international Fashion Week curve by putting the freshest, newest talents front and centre for all to admire in a showy celebration of Canadian and global talent.

Winnipeg Fashion Week, Manitoba's premier fashion event, is preparing to heat up our fashion aspirations to land at various locations, April 19 through 28, 2012. Thousands of industry insiders will be refreshed by the city and its cradle of creative design, Winnipeg Fashion Week.

Produced by The Creative Group, this first edition of WFW will highlight the creative expertise and leading design of more than 10 designers ranging from the established to the aspiring as they unveil their inspired interpretations for the spring/summer 2012‐2013 season.

The Schedule

WFW reinforces its Canadian status this edition with an extra-impressive lineup of clever designers, including: Julie Pederson, Paswara Labels and Alex Espinosa.

And keep your eye on the refinement and impeccable tailoring of Adan Ballou.

As well, the avant-garde attitude and edgy excitement overflow with shows from Lennard Taylor and Runway Fashions.

Finally, the unique approach of Shelley Ediger keep things exciting!

April 19
The Ronald McDonald House presents The Ronald McDonald House Fashion Show at the Winnipeg Convention Centre featuring fashions from Polo Park. A night of fashion for a great cause! The Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for out of town families whose children are undergoing treatment for life-threatening illnesses at the Children's Hospital. Panache Management presents the 2012 International Model & Talent Search at Portage Place Shopping Centre. Held in 100% support of Rossbrook House. As the solstice marks a time when the sun stands at its peak, (and the seasons change) so too will your senses. An evening of tantalizing, jaw-dropping fashion and entertainment. April 25
St Paul's High School presents the Mardi Gras Fashion Show & Fundraiser at the Victoria Inn featuring a group of Winnipeg's finest retailers including Winnipeg designer Julie Pederson. Proceeds from the fashion show go toward the Magis Fund, a fund that provides financial assistance to students who cannot otherwise afford to participate as fully as they would like to in school life at St. Paul's. Lennard Taylor presents the Lennard Taylor Fashion Show. Andrew Lennard Taylor Bickford is a local designer whose driving force is to enhance the impression of the authentic self through his quality work of wearable art for uniquely creative individuals from around the globe. He makes clothing for the individualist, someone who wants to stand out from the crowd, someone who is not afraid to say I am me and I love me for this!
